Gatric Balloon anybody???

Hi,

has anybody have put on the gastric balloon????

could you please share with me your experience? success, food, weight maintanence, does it work?

I was reading that for low BMI they recommend the balloon and that is only for 6 months and then removed and you can try for another time after 30/45 days...

I am trying to make decision if I should go with gastric balloon or the band.

I appreciated your comments.

I had a friend who did the Gastric Balloon & after the 6 months she regained all her weight back in 2 months. I would stick with something that is going to be permanent unless you know yourself & think you can change your habits permanetly in 6 months. I CAN'T!! The band was perfect for me!!

And I have a friend who did the balloon about a year ago. The balloon ruptured and the "dye" showed up to tell her it was popped. But the actual holding of the dye part, the "balloon", got stuck in the intestines. She had to have surgery for it to be removed. She only had the damn thing for about 2 months. Waste of money in my opinion.

Have another friend who thought seriously about it. Did her research, Then decided against it. She is doing the weight loss on her own and last I heard doing well.

See, I thought about the balloon, too, but that is precisely my problem. I will lose 25 pounds in 6 months and then it just packs right back on as soon as I am off the protein diet. I need help, that is why I want to risk getting a band.
