I am down over 100 lbs and am 22 lbs away from my doctors goal for me....but I know that I will want to still lose more after that is reached....

It was hard....the first was easier.....and then stress happened, old ways came back and showed it's ugly head....but I can say I got back on board last summer and am very close now!!!

It is reachable....but it takes patience, and determination.

Everyone...keep up the good work.

Yes, losing over 100 is very doable, but you must work at it, the band is just a tool after all. I had lost 120 before my first year was up by working very hard on this new way of life. I have "fallen off the wagon" a few times, only to pick myself up, dust myself off and get back on track.

Good luck and best wishes to all! =))

I posted this today on the Ohio thread and while I am not in the pctures wearing the Tshirt I can assure you all that I indeed wore the blue Size 3X shirt with bulges hanging out and now proudly can wear this much smaller black Tshirt. Still have a ways to go but this amazes me. Thank God who showed me this as an option because my primary care doctor did not -- very anti-weight loss surgery. Unfortunate for me.

I am now down 126 lbs. I still want to lose about 50 more to be at my ideal weight. I dont know if I can do that without having some of this skin removed though. I am hoping to hit ONEderland this week. I am at 200 on the dot now. I started at a size 29W and am now in a 14 average. I can fasten a 12 but they are too tight. But to be able to shop in a regular store is amazing! I was over 200lbs at age 10! I have always been super obese so this is a whole new life for me. I thank all of you for your support and love reading everyones posts. Congratulations everyone and great job!!

As of today, I weigh 100 lbs down from my high weight of 293.

It is not technically 100lbs since surgery ( I weighed 264 on surgery day), but every pound I lost was in preparation of surgery and a part of this weight loss journey, so I'm counting it :)

Currently down 112 pounds!

It's hard though, I feel awesome about and yet still conflicted.

I started at 478!

I would like to get down to 220-250. So being at 366 now, I still have 146 - 116 to go. Really almost to the halfway point and it's been 1.5 years since I was banded.

I joined a gym and have been hitting the ellipitcal like a champ. But just really want to reach my goal. :)

Ryno, you are doing such a great job for yourself and your future. You have lost almost 1/2 of your goal. Good for you, keep on keeping on! Karen

Ladyroz 150 lbs

te name='Rockin' Robyn' timestamp='1142321062' post='181992']

Hi Everyone-

It has been on my mind lately to start a new post as a positive, motivational, and inspiring thread. I have noticed several threads lately where those considering surgery are asking if it is 'possible' to lose 100 pounds with the band. My answer to that is...Yes, it definitely is. Many say it is not realistic. But I have watched the amazing progress of LBT members on the board, and believe it is not only realistic, it is happening to many of our LBT members all around us. And for those that aren't quite there yet, many members are extremely close. As time goes by with lapband increasing in popularity and the number of LBT members growing everyday, I believe the list is only going to increase by leaps and bounds.

Any and all weight loss is a huge accomplishment for us all. While I realize that many members don't need to lose 100 pounds or more, many do. And for those who do, it offers not only motivation to see that other bandsters have done it...but most importantly it offers the hope that it can be done with the band!

This will be a running thread to offer positive motivation, inspiration, hope, and encouragement. Please PM me or post here to have your name added to the growing list when you hit 100 pounds lost, or if you want your amount lost updated. Congratulations to everyone on any and all weight loss!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
