Question Bandster Family??????

Recommended Posts

I get one every month for the first three months, and then 1 every three months unless needed sooner. My doctor won't let you get more than 1 per month. I'm on my second fill so far and I am getting quite a bit of restriction.

I get my first one six weeks after augury. My doctor said to get a fill once a month to help with the consistent weight loss.

Oh yeah I'm so exited I go Wednesday to check incisions and maybe get out on mushies. But I've already lost 25 lbs from pre diet and this week. This is great so far I'm scared to go through banister hell as everyone calls it.

Don't worry about Bandster hell! I don't consider that I have gone through it and was banded in 08. The worst part was right after I had surgery, then again after I had a fill a few weeks ago where I thought.. what did I do?

I got over that right away, and frankly do not want to be without the band. I have PB on Occassion since I got the recent fill, but never before.

I have found that feeling sad or mourning food choices is the worst of it for me, but I think about how fast I started to feel better and any negative thoughts go away.

I think alot has to do with the way your looking at it. There is little you cannot have in moderation when you think about it, take it one day at a time.

You will find that when you go to bed you will wake up wondering what subtle changes your body has done... at least that is how I think about it.. think of the NSV... not all of it is on the scale!

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I am looking forward to it. Surgery date is July 10,2012 ;)

Lol banister I meant banster and thanks for the advice! I'm so looking forward to seeing how I do in the future. It will be a challenge I'm sure.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
