well.. from my own experiences, it doesn't get much better. I burp ALL the time.

With that said, my band is very tight and I believe that contributes to it.

After surgery I was very similar to you.. burping a lot. A few months out I noticed it died down a bit. However I feel that the tighter my band gets, the more food sloshes around in my pouch and creates gas.. I don't know if that's whats happening.. but that's what it feels like to me. ;)

I have the same thing. I am 2 weeks post-op today. And most of the time when I burp nothing comes out, it's like I feel it come up and but it's not like a normal burp. Hard to explain.

Oh mine is productive... I sound like a man after a good beer chug! It's disgusting, of course my teen son thinks its hillarious... If I hear " good one Mom" one more time.....

Mine got better. I was never a burper before the surgery, but for about a month after I did. But now I only have the sensation as if I had to burp, but don't..like I have a bubble trapped. I hear others describe it this way as well after they eat......mine is the opposite. I tend to have the feeling when I'm starting to get hungry then it subsides after I eat.

Stangest things with being banded.

So burping means you are possibly hungry & hiccups mean you are full?? My surgery is coming up July 2nd and I wanna be sure to know... Ya know.., the signs beforehand. A little "freaked" already so the more info the better.

No burping does not man you are hungry. For some reason post band many people just burp (or fart) a lot more. It can happen at any time.

Hiccups can be a full sign for some but for others it might just mean they have eaten too fast or taken too big a bite. Everyone is different and you learn to listen to your body and figure out what it is telling you.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
