Hello everyone!

I have been reading the forums over the last few days. I had my initial consultation with True Results on 5/24/12 and wasn't sure about insurance/financing at the time. I do have a new diagnosis of hypertension but didn't want to deal with insurance and jumping through hoops. So I the money is on its way now but I haven't scheduled the surgery yet.

Can anyone give me feedback on True Results DFW (Richardson specifically). .I know people with the band but none that had their surgery there so just wondering what others have experienced with them.

Thanks for reading!

Misty

I have gone through True Results in Richardson. I am using insurance, so they require I have my surgery done at Baylor Trophy Club on June 18th. My surgeon is Dr. Louis Fox, and so far everyone at True Results and at Dr Fox;s office have been great. All my appointments, etc. have gone really well. I had one hiccup with getting my paperwork to insurance but the staff stayed on it and we got it done and I have a verbal approval from insurance with paperwork expected any day. My husband used someone else 3 years ago, and I have to say so far, IMO, True Results has been much more thourough and helpful. Hope this helps.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
