Anyone Just Had Their Band This Month?

Recommended Posts

Im new to this site and I just got my band May14 I was wondering if anyone was as hungry as I am? This liquid thing is not filling!!!

I loved my liquid phase. Here's a list of food I ate. For me having choices made all the difference. I also served myself from a tray and put yogurt in wine glasses. You do what makes you feel like a princess

Liquid low fat or nonfat yogurt. strawberry was my favorite

Ice pops sugarless I'm fruit flavored

Creamy Soups. Tomato leek corn lobster bisque creamed potato. chicken broth when I got extra hungry. You have to watch the sodium

Creamsicles

Protein shakes

Jello

Fruit juices cut 50/50 juice and Water

Hot tea

Good luck !!!!

I'm new here and was banded yesterday.... Just sipping on Water ... Afraid to try anything ! Help

Don't be too afraid to drink the liquids... some of us were the same... I was. the first 48 water, water, water....so you don't dehydrate.. Then if you can get a Protein Shake in that's awesome... welcome to the other side. I am a week out and feel really good already! Best of luck on this new journey you will do great!

I was banded 5/17 and started mushies yesterday. I had some mashed potatoes and then broke down and made some homemade Tomato Soup with a dash of greek yogurt. It was so good. I haven't been getting that hungry with the small portions I have been eating.

I was banded on 5/22/12. I did Clear Liquids for 3 days & now I am on day 4. So I can move on to Full Liquids. I lived off of Liquid Isopure Blue Rasberry. Now I am enjoying Trader Joe's Butter Nut Squash, Vita Coco, & my Isopure powder - Double Dutch chocolate & low fat milk.

I am not hungry, but feel a bit light headed. Going to the RR regularly so I know I am staying hydrated. And finally had a BM this morning. (Sorry for the TMI).

How is everyone else doing?

Can you exercise now? My Doctor said walking is okay but no exercise yet! I am doing beans for dinner tomorrow.

To my knowledge I can only walk at this time and I've failed at that as far as exercise. I go to the doc on the 31st so I'm excited!! I'm not sure what will happen at that appt but will see. I have no complaints so far so smiles. I'm down 10lbs from surgery (May 11th) and 20 since starting my pre opt diet and very pleased.

Now since I've started eating mush I'm not sure on when to stop. So last night when I was eating refried bean, 2% cheese and low fat sour cream (which was delish) I ate about 1/4 cup and when I took a deep breath It felt like something was under my ribs so I stopped. This sure is a learning thing glad I'm a "good" listener....lol

Azhoselady let me know how your doing.

Tammy

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
