Anyone Doing Or Did Insanity....

Recommended Posts

Banded 3/5/12 down 25 doesn't seem like enough but I'm not complaining... Skin is loose so I know that exercise works for me but I've been a little down the last few Months and figured my head isn't really into what I should be doing had a few slip ups a few stuck moments but I'm back in the game now. Starting insanity today looking for some results , has anybody done this or p90x?

I am doing insanity. I think the sign of a good workout is if you are sore the next day and man I am always sore, but I think of it as the muscles are growing. They are real short like 40 mins and I like the stretches.

I LOVE the Insanity workout. Well, it's a love/hate. I hate getting ready to do it, kind of hate doing it, then LOVE it after I'm done. I picked Insanity over P90X because I didn't need to buy any other equipment (chin-up bar, etc). I did Insanity all the way through last year, now I just do a workout or two casually. It's an excellent full body routine.

I did it for the first two weeks...and then I wussed out. It was really cool and I loved how I felt afterwards, but it was a little tough on my knees. I'll try it again after I get down to 215-220 or so. :)

I'm doing P90X right now. I'm in my 7th week of it. I can't say I've lost weight but I've altered my eating and lost 4 pounds last week. I can tell you my wife thinks my legs are toned and show muscle definition.

If you tell people you are doin insanity they'll be very impressed at your dedication to excersise.

Knock it out an do the work and the results will AMAZE you.

Never tried Insanity, but I have tried P90X and literally thought my heart was going to explode out of my chest. It was way too hard on my body. I would like to try something like P90X or Insanity when I am closer to goal weight though.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
