Looking For A May 10 Band Buddy

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone , well with my diet intake I was able to eat fish and mashed potatoes . My first real meal felt so good.

Also, has anybody had issue with gases I'm taking beano now but my first day back to work I was gassy all day I hope this is not permanent.

I don't feel as of yet restriction when eating, I do feel like my hunger is kicking again however I am thinking that once you have your 1st fill that is when you are going to be more restricted

Also, when eating or sometimes after does anybody get the shoulder pain? And I continue to have hiccups

I am still on a liquid diet. Supposed to be on it for 4 weeks. I am supposed to have my follow up visit tomorrow, but my boss has family here and was irritated I think because I just returned to work today, so she has taken the rest of the week off. I cancelled my appt and will have to reschedule it.

I'm feeling pretty good. I wore jeans yesterday and by the end of the day my port site was hurting, My waistband hits exactly where the port is. Other than that, I feel great.

I still have a little lingering port pain. My incisions are itching like crazy!

I have pretty much gotta back to a normal diet, just have to make sure to take small bites, chew, and eat slowly.

At my two week check up the surgeon told me to call and schedule a fill when I feel like I need one, just to be sure that all my port pain is gone because he would have to push on my stomach to find the port.

I still can't take my anti depressant, it makes me sick.... Not good!

Any way I am starting to feel like a normal person again! Yay!

I feel pretty good, more energy. I only have some port stinging at times when my waistband is on my port. I am down 41 pounds since starting the pre-op diet. My weight loss seems to be at a standstill the past week. Up 3, down 3. Not quite sure what to do about it.

I am finally able to go to soft foods, yaay! I have been really hungry. I couldn't make my post- op appt because my co-worker took the rest of the week off as soon as I came back. Called my doctor to reschedule and they said if I felt fine, I could schedule an appt. for a fill. Well, it was June 20th, but now my boss is going to a training in Washington that week so now it is the 27th. My surgeon only sees patients 2 days a week. Has surgeries the other days. I am concerned about eating solid foods with no fill. I feel that I need one very badly. I am hungry a lot and do not feel any kind of restriction or full feeling when I eat. I'm worried I will gain weight back.

Angel I feel you I don't feel the restriction and I'm already on my soft diet, my surgeon is also the same way; patients on Monday's or Tuesday's therefore my first fill will be in 2 weeks, I want it now

How is everyone? I had my first fill of 3cc in my band, I guess I have a 14cc band. No problems with the fill.

I am feeling pretty good, had a weight loss stall for awhile. I have lost 45 pounds now since my pre-op diet.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
