  1. Great job! Keep up the great work!
  2.    skinny2beEMG reacted to a post in a topic: Banded 5.16.2012 And Need A Fill Asap
  3. I have UHC of Tennessee and it covered at but 1400.00. I have no complaints paying that. I have lost around 20 lbs and was banded on May 10, 2012.
  4. Yes to the vitamin question. My doc has me taking Bariatric vitamins once daily as they have a higher percentage of what my body needs now that I'm not taking in as much nutrition as before. Also I take calcium citate 1800mg daily. Hope this helps.
  5. Grams not milligrams on the protein. Sorry.
  6. Most days I eat 800-1000 calories with 80mg being protein. But about once a week I get ravenous hungry and need a 100 extra calories. Does anybody else have this problem. I'll be banded one month June 10th and I have lost 20.2 lbs is this good?
  7. Find papaya enzymes at so I can Keep some on hand in case I get stuck. I've read on here that drinking them helps???? Getting my first fill June 11 and I'm worried about getting stuck or something.
  8. Checking in..... I'm down 16.2 lbs since banding May 10th. I go Monday, June 11 for a fill. I'm excited and nervous. I am learning to chew really well sure don't want any stuck and sliming episodes we..., just saying....
  9. Something you could do since you are only doing one meal together is prepare what you are taking for the rest of your family but then take an Atkins protein shake and drink that slowly if they ask questions just brush it off as a regular diet thing and you won't have to tell about the band just that you replace one meal a day with the shake.
  10. Did your doctor put you on Pepcid post op. Mind said I need it for 8-12 weeks after my hernia repair. I have to take 10 mg twice daily.
  11. I can't have salad until 6-7 weeks post op. what does your doc say? I'm like you I so miss it!
  12. I think I screwed up today. I got a sugar free shaved ice, but it came with a straw and I didn't even think anything about it until my husband says "you're not drinking through that straw are you?". And then I thought OMG that's right they did say no straws and I quit immediately. Now I'm worried what happens if you use a straw?
  13. It's wondering what different docs recommend. Mine says 7-8 weeks. I so miss my chicken breast. I was a healthy eater prior to Lapband surgery just didn't control portions well and was always hungry. I ate a lot of raw veggies and fresh fruit. I am so missing those things too but at least I can have canned fruit with no added sugar now.
  14. Glad to hear everyone is doing better! I am returning to work full time on Tuesday. Went in for a couple of hours yesterday and it actually felf good! Starting to get more hungry now and downloaded myfitnesspal to track my foods. What a great tool it is. Also moved up to eggs yesterday and wow how great it was to taste them!!! How's everyone else's diet intake going?
  15. Was banded on May 10th and I've been following my doctors orders dropping 13.2 lbs by the first week post op however, now that I have moved up to my shied and now the next step I have gained about 3 lbs. what gives? I'm only taking in between 700-800 calories per day trying to get everything in with protein drinks, water and food. Will I start losing again? Frustrated!!!
