Hi Ladies,

I am going in the morning for my EDG. I am surprised how calm I am. I am sure the fear will kick in tomorrow on the way. I can't believe that my surgery is in one week. How is everyone newly banded doing?

Wishing you all a great day! Prayers and love to all the surgery's going on from our group.

I will check in tomorrow.

Tammy :)

How did it go Tammy?!

I am very emotional today for some reason. Cried a lot last night and I am crying this morning. Physically feeling better and better every day. Have to go to bathroom a lot. Some pain is there at night/early am but otherwise not much of an issue. Yay. Hope everyone else is good!

Hey Ladies,

I am soooooo sorry. It was a crazy day. I did the psych apt at 7, then 7:15 am the ultrasound on my gallbladder and then then walked me over to the surgery center (same facility). I was okay till I got in their and then the nerves kicked in bad. Luckily they were great and got me in bed fast. The anesthesiologist was fast and they rolled me in. I had a bit of acid in my stomach and I have to take a pill everyday to reduce it. It shouldn't stop my surgery. I woke up fine felt a bit drunk. Then got in the car and came home. My Mom and Aunt came to "help" me but I was waiting on them. I woke up the next day with a bit of pain in my right side and I started my period. I don't know if it was the biopsy the Dr did or the period that caused the pain. Anyways no hiatel hernia so that is a bit of a relief. I am hoping that I will do good and won't be dying in pain. I sort of think my pain tolerances is high. I hope so anyways! Thanks for asking and checking on me. How are you guys doing? Hope everyone is having a wonderful Mothers Day too!

Tammy :)

Oh good :) glad it went ok.

I understand being stir crazy. Being on the pain meds I can't drive and get out of the house.

I am doing well. My pain is very light now and I have more energy. Monday afternoon is my follow up visit.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
