Being banded on Monday and really need someone who gets. What I am going through or about to do. Would love to have an accountablity partner, ISO someone who is either getting banded around the same time or someone who is futher out and doing well.

Been Baned almost 2 years now, it is tough in the beginning but you will get through it, i started at 324 pounds and am down to 208, ive lost 116 pounds, i know what its like not having anyone who knows what ur going through so if ya have any questions or just wanna chat, let me, know!!

Hi! I'm in Melbourne and will be four yrs this October! I've plateaued but I think it's due to stress and other issues! Would love some support from other banders!

Thanks for all the replies. Spending the day cleaning and getting my house in order before the morning. Thanks to a few of you i need to run out and get juice and gas x and add a dports bra to my bag. Did not think of those things.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
