Have my first fill on May 10th and I'm just wondering if it's going to hurt like hell?

My husband has to work so I will have my 4 year old and 17 month old with me and I don't wanna scare them...

Make sure you let us know your experience. I get mine May 18th.

I don't say this to scare u but because I think u really want to know. My first fill was horrible. Took ages for him to find the port' date=' and he dug and dug and dug. I started by laying down then stood up and when I started blacking out laid down again. He stuck me around nine times! When he finally found it I took a pic which I now always show him. Maybe most ppl have it easy and I hope u do too but some ppl do not and I hate the idea of someone telling u it's gonna be a breeze when u have ur babies in there. Maybe it will be super easy and stress free. Also I feel like crap most of the day after. Again, most ppl don't but some of us do. I'm sorry if I scared u but I wanted u to be prepared just in case![/quote']

Thank you for your honesty. My worst fear is that they poke me and I scream and scare the kids.

Mine uses lidocaine and the needle she uses is soooo big and long! More comfortable knowing it's numb if she's gonna be poking around looking for it!!!

They used ladicane on me as well. About four shots. My hubby went with. he was lookin a little green by the end of it hehe. They do get easier and easier on the plus side. I wish I lived close to u. I'd sit in the lobby with the little ones.

I don't find they do but some people do. For me it's a minor needle stick; I don't use any numbing creams or anything. They've never had a problem finding the port either. This last time I felt the sting of the needle but sometimes I don't even notice that.

Oh, and I would definitely suggest not leaving the office until you're able to drink some Water & can make sure it will go down. That's standard at my office but I don't think everyone does that.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
