Or the first time since being banded!! No more soups!! No more chili!! No more purées!!! Last night I had some steak (medium rare), cut into pinky sized portions. Ate about three ounces. Had some cold slaw and mashed potatoes, too. All in all about 5oz. No sticking, no problems, but did I ever feel full!!

Now if that seams like a lot, keep in mind this time last month I was at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas kicking back a Quadruple Bypass Burger (2lbs of meat, not including the bun.) stacked with 15 slices of bacon, with a side of fries and two cokes. No feeling of satiety.

So to be able to go from 3lbs of food to 5oz, it's a damn miracle!!

My wife eat 4oz regularly. It's amazing to me! I can't wait to eat some cottage cheese on week three! LOL

Anyone else feel starved during the liquid diet? Yes I'm drinking surgary stuff, but it's not helping. LOL

I did horrible on the liquid diet. Found out I was allergic to artificial sweeteners during that time. I was miserably sick for weeks. So, yeah I felt pretty starved lol. liquids in...liquids out.

I haven't had a fill since my surgery and am already down 25lbs. My doc won't fill til I'm 6 weeks out, so I'm not surprised I can take in over 4oz. Once I can start getting my fills, I hope to find the sweet spot!! :)

Well if you're already down 25, that's awesome! You're still doing great; the lapband just makes it a bit easier when it's working properly (and you're working it properly!).

I'm in the uk 3 weeks post surgery and was wondering how long after surgery did anyone go back on to normal foods??? My surgery was brought forward due to a cancelation and only had a few days to get ready and was given minamal advice for after in regards to food! The booklet I was given says to start introducing food from 4-6 weeks , I know I'm ready ( only 1 week left) I have healed so well feeling really good and nothing has been a prob so far! Got quite good restriction already , I can't even finish a cup of food most dinner times!!! Thanks for everyone's advice it helps so much x :)

Every doctor/nutritionist is different. My nutritionist says the book is more a guideline. Once you can get in your daily amount of Protein (at least 90g) and all your Water, you can move on. Some people move on faster than others. I had 5 days of liquids and two weeks of mushies. Now I'm on real foods and I noticed in the few days i've been on solids, i tend to stick with mushies for meals except for lunch. Lulz

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
