Did you recently have a fill? If not, I'd get into the surgeon ASAP to make sure you don't have a slip.

In the meantime, I'd try cream Soups, pudding, Jello, etc. Pretty much go back to the full liquids and/or mushies diet.

Really though...do get into your surgeon as soon as you can.

2 years out and you have never experienced this before ?

Scrambled eggs....is this only happening in the morning?

After 2 years, you should know yourself and your band well enough to understand what is going on.

If this just popped up out of nowhere, after 2 years of normality, then yes, you have a problem.

Also, thinking about myself only......how would I gain 20 lbs if I can't keep anything down?

If it was me, I know the answer, and it would not be a slipped band. But that's just me cause I know myself and my habits.

In your case, if you don't know what's happening, contact your Dr ASAP.

A weight gain of something like 20lbs could actually make the band tighter again if u have put on visceral fat around your tummy, the same goes if u lose weight the band will often loosen .. i would contact your doctor but just onto liquids for a few days too.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
