I Need Help!!!

Recommended Posts

I have had my lap band for about six months and I have had four fills. I am not feeling any restriction. My band holds 11cc's and I am currently at 8.8. I have lost 60 pounds but that is because I am on a very strict diet. What do I do?

What do you mean by you are not feeling any restriction?

Are you eating smaller portions than previously? Do they keep you satisfied? Are you losing weight.

if you can answer yes to these then you do have "restriction"

If you are not losing or you are struggling with hunger(not head hunger) then you may need another fill, that is something you should discuss with your Dr

I am constantly hungry. I am losing the weight beause I know I have to stay on my strict diet but I can't say that I have ever stopped eating because I am full! I have talked to him and he says that some don't feel any restriction until the fourth of fifth fill but I am getting worried :f

You're losing 10 lbs a month, and that's pretty good, in my opinion. I've only been banded for a little over two months and had three fills and don't particularly feel like I've had restriction yet. However, from all the research I've done, I'm thinking "feeling full" now is going to be much different than it was before being banded. I "think" the fullness is more in the chest now than in the stomach. Long-time bandsters please correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems some people require much higher fill levels... It's possible that a partial cc may be the fill you need, but you won't know if you don't go in to get it.

I've been banded for one year I've lost 72 lb and want to loose 70 more lbs. But I am stuck on a plataue since end dec first of year. I have some restriction pain in chest. Staying in protien but Hungary. should I try an unfill or get an X-ray barium test see what my band looks like.

How can I get off this set point. 5'3. 189.3 down from 262 first appt and 241 at surgery in one year. Any suggestions.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
