4Th Fill...too Tight??

Recommended Posts

I had a fill, 7cc for a total of 6.7cc in 10cc band about 2 weeks ago and am having a problem eating Protein and have been having a lot of Soup. Cold food really bothers me and am really tight in the mornings where I can hardly eat and feel really tight. Also I have a feeling of bike at the back of my throat a few hous after I eat no matter how much I drink.

Sounds like you could be too full. Take care and get it seen to sooner rather than later.

might need a slight unfill. it is amazing just taking out a tiny amount will feel soooo much better. i had to have one done a month ago and it felt so good. i wasn't so dang tight that it hurt. i had only 0.2cc taken out and it was great, instant relief.

I am always tight in the morning. What kind of Protein are you having problems with? I stopped being able to eat sirloin steak after 3rd fill. The bile feeling is possibly reflux. Two schools of thought on that. You could have Fluid taken out or take an anti-acid medication until your band loosens. Your band will loosen as you lose weight. So you kind of have to decide what you can live with. I had doctor give me anti-acid rx for two weeks and I got better. Now time for another fill, and probably will have similar issues for a week or two. Then fat around stomach will shrink more, band will loosen and reflux will subside.

I cannot eat anything in the morning, and have not been able to for many months now. I always have a high Protein home made smoothie for Breakfast, about 40gm of Protein.< /p>

I also cannot eat any red meat any longer, including pork. chicken has to be very tender, not over cooked.

I don't like cold food. It's not that I can't eat eat it, it is because my tastes have changed and it no longer appeals to me.

May last fill, I was extremely tight. First time I ever considered calling the Dr and perhaps getting it removed. But I stuck it out, took a few weeks for me to adjust to it. I'm glad I did. It kicked me out of that 3 month plateau I was in, and I am still loosing, although very slowly because I am already at my goal.

I have 7.5 in a 10cc band.

This weekend, I though maybe I was over eating, and the band felt "Loose" I think I am going to go all liquids today and see what happens come Monday.

You are too tight. If you can't eat 3 oz solid Protein at lunch, you need a small until. Maybe .1 or .2 ccs.

I would get just a small amount removed. You could cause esophageal erosion or dilation. Either way get it checked out!

Thanks for the great info! I have been having problems with all Protein, really all food and liquids but actually yesterday and today, it has been much better. I think I just didn't take it slow enough from the beginning so was hurting from PBing and need to loose a little and give my tummy a break. But I have basically given up beef much to tough to get down.

Really?! Thanks for the info. I thought maybe it was just me regarding the cold food. Even with string cheese it has to be room temperature. It did wait it out and am feeling better. I can eat a bit now where was basically on Soup the last week. Thanks so much for the info!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
