I have an idea and I'm willing to volunteer to do it.

How about everyone email me ( or whoever ends up in charge of this) your first name, where you live and/or work, your banding status and whatever else about yourself you'd like the group to know about you. We can make a master list including our email addresses to distribute to each existing member and anyone new to the group. Like I said, I will volunteer to do this. However, I didn't start the group and don't wanna step on toes so to speak.

Thoughts????

Tahnee, I'm nervous for you. The whole preop and postop diet scares me to death. Good luck to you. I'm sending good vibes your way.

Hey! I had my surgery in Richardson with Dr. B on November 17th. So far I'm down 25lbs from the date of surgery. I have learned to be happy with that....lol. I figured with my PCOS that I would be a slower loser but so far so good. No problems or complications, no pb'ing or stuck issues at all that I've heard so much about. I'm taking it a day at a time and a pound at a time. It's a new life style that I'm still getting use to that's why I think this support group is a great idea.

Hey Trina, I'm in Hurst. How much have u lost so far? Who did your surgery? I start my pre op tomorrow! I'm getting nervous!

Hi girls, my name is Tammy and I'm part of Tahnee and Teri's group. It is so exciting to meet new people in our area that have been banded or is getting banded. It is awesome to have a support group. Does anyone go to the Tuesday night meetings at Dr Smiths office? I think I'm gonna start going.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
