I know that when one gives up one addiction (food), another one is likely to surface. At least sex is good cardio, good for the relationship, and not to mention it's lot's of fun!

My sex drive since the surgery has been thru the roof!
Im sure my hubby is enjoying it (sometimes ) but seems to need a break (3 days) . I am feeling super sexy even with just 20 some odd pounds gone. I kinda feel Im more into it than he is. Anyone else encounter this, or am I alone yet again?

When I applied for banding the first time 3 years ago, insurance turned me down because I didn't have 3 of their 5 diseases. Even though 4 of the dieseases were in my family. I applied again in July last yast year still with no diseases and was accepted but had to go through nutrient classes for 6 months. I will do this for me and my family. I'm 43 with hubby and 2 teenage boys. I wanted to go hiking with my boys like I use to. I wanted to grow old with my husband. I want to play with my grand kids. These are my top reasons for doing this. Oh and to NOT get even 1 of their 5 diseases. Lol

Volleymom...I agree that you may need a slight unfill. I've also read other's posts about drinking something warm first thing in the morning helps to loosen the band some. I don't know as I'm not that far along post-surgery..but its worth a try. My surgeon also told me to be careful of milk, something about lactose and the band. I don't really remember because the only time I was using milk was with my protein shakes so I just switched to unsweetened almond milk. Saying a prayer for ya!

So, today was my 3 month bandaversity. I stepped on the scale this am and... I offically weigh less than my DH. I haven't been there since we dated over 7 years ago. It is an awesome feeling! I have lost 43lbs so far. I have also went from a size 24 to a size 16! I just wanted to share my excitement with people who understand.

I honestly can't believe that I am writing this post! After having surgery and getting on this board, I would always see people posting about hitting this huge milestone in their weight loss and I knew that it was a goal of mine, but really didn't know if I'd ever make it. But here I am, 20 months out from surgery and 102.9 pounds gone!! It's been a long haul -- losing some weeks, gaining some weeks, hitting a plateau. But I can say I'm really going in the right direction right now -- working out with a trainer twice a week and just started the Couch to 5k program, eating better, and just got another fill to keep going. I look at the number of pounds gone and still can't believe it. Hope everyone out there keeps going -- it can happen if we let it!! Have a great day everyone -- I know I will!!!

i love spaghetti squash. I use the Morningstar Crumbles, fresh mushrooms and some Ragu...throw in lots of spices and mix it with the squash. I like it so much better then real pasta. I'm scheduled for my first fill on Monday, so this helps to keep me satisfied with very few calories since 1/2 cup of food is not satisfying me at the moment.

Hi guitar4life3000! I just had band revision surgery on March 7, so I am juuust barely past that painful stage you are in. Stay strong! For me, it was real bad for a week and then suddenly I shot out of bed with all the energy in the world. I've already lost 7 lbs. Crazy!!
Ok, so I'm going to publicly declare what I want to do...so far I've only told my husband and even he was a little surprised.
    I want to run a 5k.
Walking a 5k was my goal at my first band surgery when I weighed 300lb. When I weighed 250, I successfully finished a 5k. After this revision surgery, I'm upping the ante. And now I'm *publicly* declaring it here on LBT.
SCARY! I am not a runner. At all. I really, really don't like to run. But hell, even if I do a wimpy half jog thing and turn in a terrible time, I don't care. I'm going to run a 5k.
Whew! It feels so good to share.
And on my girly, vanity thing....
I want to be able to sit with my legs crossed again (as someone else said, sit like a girl).
And I want to be able to sit in a chair and not have the arms of the chair jabbing in my sides.

I accomplished all that in one year!
    Here's one for you.
When I put my socks and shoes on now, I can stand on one foot, pull the other one up and with both hands pull my socks on then my shoes, and tie them.
I remover sitting, holding my breath as I bend forwards to tie one shoe. Probably turned red in the face also.
I now do it the way skinny people do!

Going on a Christmas Cruise this December. Soooo...
I would like to wear a real bathing suit that isn't skirted like a tent!
I would like to wear a pair of cute cut off shorts without worrying that the that the material in the thigh area isn't going to ride up!
I want to go on the cool looking slide thing....and not worry about getting stuck in front of everyone!
I want to sit comfortably in any chair and not have to worry about the plastic ones breaking in the sand!
I want to look pretty on my husband's arm I now silly and vain... I am doing this for me...but deep down I want him to be proud of me to. He always says he thinks I'm pretty the way I am....but well...you know what I mean. I want him to say it and really mean it. Not sure if that makes sense.

    Hey Everyone.
I just got out of my surgery March 19, 2012. I am laying in bed feeling pretty uncomfortable but I think the best way to deal with the pain I am
in is to start thinking about the things I want to accomplish besides losing the numbers. So here's my list : )
    - I want to not have to put my socks on before I put my pants on. I do this so that my pants wont rip.
    - When I bend over to pick things up, I have to do this weird pendulum swing because its hard for me to see and reach over my stomach, as well as not wanting to rip my pants. I want to bend over like a normal person!
    - I want my knees to stop hurting.
    - I want to fit into a L shirt. It is so hard to shop and find something that looks good in 2xl or 3xl.
    - I want to stop wearing huge jackets so that I can hide my body.
    - I want to stop breathing so heavily when I go up stairs.
    - I want to stop sweating and losing my breath when I eat.
    - I want to stop feeling congested all the time.
This is my list. I have a thousand more that I just cant think of right now but I want to see your results your looking forward to!

I must have got the generic band cause mine was only 9600. If you are unfilled for whatever reason, you need to treat it as your bandster hell time and use as much will power as u can. Even if you can eat a whole hambuger and fries doesnt mean u should. I know with me, once I start down that road it would be hard to stop again. I have learned alot over the past year, but I trying that stuff would pull a trigger.
good luck and try to get refilled soon if possible.
