  1. I use my fitness pal but there are others out there. Depending on what you need.
  2. My surgery was April 2,2012. My last fill was September 27,2012. I have lost 87 pounds. But the past few weeks I'm battling allergies. At least 3 nights a week, I wake up with reflux. I ate at 7:30 and went to bed at midnight. I notice that when I try to drink something I will get the hiccups. Then about 2-3 am I wake up with burping and chest pains. Sometimes I can take some tums but I have to wait at least an hour before I can go back to laying down. Is this normal and should I call the dr?

  4. I can do!!!! Lapband is a tool. You still have to do the work. This site will give you support but you need someone close to you to encourage you. I love your list because it sounds like mine. I was banded on April 2. Preop started 3/19 and I'm down 35 pounds. There was one week I didn't lose. But I love the way I'm looking. I have about 100 still to lose but I will make it. Good luck!
  5. I can do bread but later in the day and it has to be toasted a little. Flour Tortillas not so much. They get too sticky but corn go down find. I love my bread too.
  6. It depends where u carry your weight. I'm 5'7" starting at 314 in a 24 march 19 Pre op started. Surgery 4/2 and I'm down 30 pounds in a 20. Because I carry most of my weight in my butt then I can drop jeans pretty quick. But any size decrease is a good thing.
  7. Got my first fill last Monday. I bled bad (had to get a second band aid) after I bled on my pants. But a week later I still have a bruise that doesn't seem to be healing. It doesn't hurt and was wondering if I should worry about it. Thx
  8. I'm down 26 pounds, preop 16.5. Surgery April 2.
  9. My surgery was April 2. I have had no problems. Had my first fill yesterday and back on liquids for 2 days. Tomorrow I get mushies. I'm ready to start my life with regular foods. Tuna and chicken salad has been nice but I'm ready to branch out. 26 pounds down since preop started, 3/19.
  10. I was new a month ago so welcome. You will find alot of I formation and support here. I was banded on April 2. Pre op diet since 3/19. I have lost 23.5 pounds as of last Sunday. I only weigh on Sunday. Good luck on your journey.
  11. When I applied for banding the first time 3 years ago, insurance turned me down because I didn't have 3 of their 5 diseases. Even though 4 of the dieseases were in my family. I applied again in July last yast year still with no diseases and was accepted but had to go through nutrient classes for 6 months. I will do this for me and my family. I'm 43 with hubby and 2 teenage boys. I wanted to go hiking with my boys like I use to. I wanted to grow old with my husband. I want to play with my grand kids. These are my top reasons for doing this. Oh and to NOT get even 1 of their 5 diseases. Lol
  12. But if it helps control gulping. I don't seem to have that problem
  13. Ready to meet any where. I'm going stir crazy in my house. I'm getting out today with a driver so I am not going out long.
  14. I do and they do help with the stomach gas but the gas pains in my neck not so much. But the heating pad has been my friend.
  15. With Pre op diet for 2 weeks and 4 days since surgery; 20 pounds.
  16. The plication is a new pleating system used with the band. It is still in trial phase.
  17. Ft worth banded yesterday 4/2. Doing ok. Gas pains are the worst.
