Hi Judy. I am on bp meds & I took it the day of surgery. They asked me if I had as well. The first 2 pain killers after were through the iv & the rest was Panadol & 1 oxecodone orally. I have been taking tabs without a worry. I questioned the nurse but she said its normal. I also talked to Dr & he said fine as well.

I felt it the first few days mainly with gas after a gulp of Water. No worries now though :-).

thats good. so i can take my meds early. im able to have a light Breakfast,as im not due in theatre until 30m.( I think about 7am) so i can take the meds then im thinking. its way earlier than i usually take them but im sure it wont matter. at the moment i am concerned about taking these meds afterwoods. im on olmetec and they do tend to stick in my gut. already. added to this pain killers... i do hope that its not a problem. ive been bad with tablets after surgeries before, i vomit a lot. more issues. im going to have a good talk with my anesthesiest about the vomiting.. its getting harder to deal with each surgery i have. the last joint replacement they did a spinal block and just put me in a light sleep. they cant do that for this surgery as its above the lumber region. yes, i have some things to talk about with the dr.

I didn't have any gas pain or nausia. Was able to deal with the pain using liquid tylenol. Have a small pillow for your ride home. Put it between you and the seat belt will help with the josseling.

hey ashley... the good by far outweighs the bad. with everything and anything there are risks involved. the lap band is one of the safest weight loss sugeries.. not to mention it is reversible. walkin on the street is a risk to right.. a car can spin outta control and hit us and we die?.. but we still do it.. ( hope i made u smile ) go for it. dont be afriad.. think about what you have to gain.. ( a whole new life) and how much you've got to loose( unwanted weight and risks of diseases) its by far one of the best decisions ive ever made .. dont over think it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
