Looking To Get Fills In Sf Bay Area

Recommended Posts

I was banded out of country .. and I want to get fills in SF Bay area where I actually live.

I am willing to travel up to North bay or San Jose area, but would prefer either East Bay or SF

I was banded in December 2011, and since then, I've lost some weight but lately (for past 1.5 months), I've been eating almost like a normal person.

I've contacted one office and they gave me a quote for a year of unlimited fills, but there is a slight chance that I might be moving out of state in the summer, and did not want to stick to such long term commitment.

Are there any good doctors for getting just fills? Any price quotes ?

I would really appreciate any feedback/help I could get on this !

(I've browsed the fills forums and there were very few options available, from what I found ... and that's my reason for posting here)

Hi. If you're still looking, try calling the Ciro Center in San Jose @ 408-271-3000 & ask to see Dr. Johnson. The receptionist/assistant there is named Melissa & she's VERY knowledgeable about this procedure. She'll help you where she can or have you talk w/Sherri who is the patient coordinator. Dr. Johnson is the Regional Director for N. California and in my opinion, is the very best!! :-)

Several others, who see him, & I are putting together a very loose support group and if you're interested, we hope you'll share in this with us. If not, no problem & I wish the very best for you.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
