So I doubt this has ANYTHING to do with the lapband but figured I'd mention it anyway just in case. All this week I've been getting bouts of dizziness and feeling light headed. I haven't been eating less or anything like that. The only difference is that I've started to work on strength exercises, including abdominal. Does anyone know if there might be a connection between the band, the exercises and my dizziness? Or has anyone experienced something similar? I'm just curious. I'm starting to get a little worried... Thanks!

Have your blood pressure checked! You can maybe just go and use one of the BP machines in a drug store but maybe better to have a real nurse do it...some people who have high BP have it go down as they lose weight, if you are on BP meds, they might have to be reduced or eliminated...

If you are exercising you are burning more calories. So if you aren't eating more calories you have a greater calorie deficit. How long after eating do you have these episodes. You could be having extremely low blood sugar.

OMG girl me too. Its aweful isn't it. It was low when I went for my post op appt Monday and I felt very jittery today so I went to my local md. and my bp was regular. (they even took it 3 xs) and the average was low. I wasn't anemic, I did ask for a B12 shot and he said most people who have these kind of surgerys will need them . and I have not started exercising so I know for me it can't be that yet. I told him Im suppose to eat the size of my fist and he looked at my fist and said you are probably starving yourself, eat alittle more. Its definitely a balance of eating the Proteins versus the carbs. I have contacted a nutritionst so hopefully that will help me. Someone else mentioned the low blood sugar. because we do eat more proteins then carbs sometimes, go to your local md as suggested, there shouldn't be a charge to just check your bp. Let us know what you find out!

Well I've been working out for almost a month now. Just recently started doing the strength. This is the first week I've felt the dizziness. I haven't noticed the time, but I will try to take note. Thanks!!

Well I have been bad at taking notice as to when my dizzy spells occur. I know they happen early in the morning, when I first get out of bed. It also happened today walking back to the break room and after I was done eating. My instinct is that it has nothing to do with the amount of food I'm eating. Especially because I had a dizzy episode right after eating. I'm going to take my blood pressure today at the grocery store. I'm really freaked out by this. It seems to be happening more and more unsure.png

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
