To all my march bandsters that are are struggling through the pre op diet i feel you. It is not easy but we must stay strong, it does work and well worth the sacrafice! Im being banded tomorrow morning. In my 7 day liquid diet so far ive lost 10 pounds. Ive struggled for to loose that much for months and have done it now in just 7 days :)

Got in 1/2 of protein shake and 1/2 bottle of water in so far. I start mushies, very happy about that. Back to work on sunday I work 12 hrs shifts standing I'm scared can hardly stand 2 hrs much less 12 hrs. Tryin to get into an exercise routine mostly walking to get prepared. Scars are healing well no leakage or redness.

To those banded:

How often are you getting on the scale? I figure I will weigh in once a week just to see if I have progressed. The scale has not been my friend in the past so kinda skeptical about it now.

I can't help but weigh myself every other day, my husband keeps telling me he's going to hide the scale! I think once a week is perfect, but my self control isn't very good!

New here! My surgery is next Tuesday, March 20th. Is anyone else here from Phoenix?

Welcome Brandi! You'll learn lots and lots on here. I love it! Good luck on your journey! My surgery is next Thursday the 22nd! WooHoo!

Great job on all of you who are post op, sounds like you're doing well. Hope your journey goes well. Deb

Wow, my surgeon didn't want me going back for two full weeks, I go back on Thursday of next week as my post op isn't til Wednesday. My surgeon glued my incisions but they still itch but it is getting better. I am so ready for mushie foods but was told to do liquids for a complete two weeks. I am having a hard time getting down the protein shakes and not sure what I can do about it. I agree with you on the standing and hope and pray that you can get through your shift on Sunday.

Now that would be cool... Did you get that little wallet card for restaurants too?

Yes I sure did! I registered online so they will send me permanent one.

Glad to hear you are doing well, almost 2 weeks out and still tired. Starting to think its from not having real food, I'm weak. Good luck on your journey.
