I was banded on march 5th and had my first fill on April 5th.... Looks like we are as close to banded buddies as we can get.. LOL you are doing great with weight loss any pointers?? I am only down 27 not saying that's bad but u are doing great!

I was banded on 03/06. I had my first fill of 2 CC's on 4/04. I am just now getting back to where I can eat salads because of not being able to get the lettuce down. I am down total of 43 lbs and quite excited. I go back on 05/02 for another fill and hopefully she will tell me I can increase my exercising. So far just walking is all she wants me to do.

Hello, I am a medical assistant in nursing school. I was banded on 03/06/2012 and have to say it was one of the best decisions ever. Would do it again if I had the chance to do it over. Good luck.

Even the married ones get a little worried I've been with my husband for 13 years, married for the last 8 1/2 and he's a little leary. He's very supportive, and completely backing me up, but every now and then a little comment will slide that makes me realize that deep down every guy thinks that we're going to get skinny, crush their perfect little worlds, and find another man. I just remind him that I'm doing this for not just me but for US, and our future. I'll talk about the things that I'm getting exciting to do - play basketball with him, go hiking...without feeling completely uncomfortable. Men are just funny. Even the strongest get worried. Once the weight starts coming off and your esteem starts shooting up, *hopefully* he'll get happier right along with you.

Mine is the same way...he will joke about me leaving him...but I can tell he is insecure about it. I just keep encouraging him and telling him that I love him and would never leave. I will keep stroking his ego along the way. He isn't much overweight...maybe 20 pounds....but he has asked that I pack his lunch with healthier options...which tells me that this journey has kick started him as well.

This is just surreal. I've read the stories of those that lost 100 pounds or more on this site and thought I would NEVER EVER be writing that post myself. But here I am!!!!. This morning I officially broke the seal and crossed over the 100 pound mark. I just cannot believe it. Life sure is different in so many ways - and being told how fantastic I look, and being hit on by cute guys, is a whole new thing and feels pretty good (I'm married so it's just harmless attention . ) I love this site and all the supportive people on here. We are all in this together and need to be there for each other as no one else truly knows what we are going through. THANK YOU to everyone on this site and hopefully I will make my goal of losing about 30 pounds more by my one year bandiversary! BEST OF LUCK TO US ALL ON OUR JOURNEYS!!!!!

Girls, I'm right there with you. My surgery was on the 6th as well as the gas is killer!! GasX really doesn't seem to help. Hot decaf tea has helped some. I think we only have a few more days of it though from what I have read. It is worse then my sore tummy or incisions, or anything! Hang in there! Take comfort in knowing we are in pain too!!

My doc has his nurses on-call 24/7, I'd call and check in. At my pre- op the nurse used fever as an example of when someone should call in.
