I am Feb 3rd!

I am Day 5 of my Preop diet. Today I have a Headache and am pretty hungry. Was easier in the beginning than now but hanging in there.

Keep up the good work! I was wondering about headaches...due to not eating!? I guess I haven't worried about it as I am still on food...and just got my date so I am still at the excited stage of starting my shakes on Feb 1st...not to mention my surgery on Feb 15th!

I think my body is going thru some withdraws as I am having a lean meat and veggie at night. Super healthy but WAY under my normal calories. I am logging in My Fitness Pal and it screams at me that I am eating way too low. Obviously, I am. LOL

But I think I am withdrawing from carbs, sugars and caffeine and then starting my cycle yesterday, it's a big bitchy whirlwind hahahah.

Better than next week!

I can't believe it's next Friday!! So crazy! I have my EKG, labs and chest Xray this Friday.

hey y'all, I am so glad there is a February Group! My pre op is Feb 14 and my surgery date is Feb 28...exactly a month from today!! I am excited...and a little scared, too. I had bronchitis and a sinus infection last week, and I feel like I am about 90 per cent my old self...I travel a lot in my job, and there seems to be a lot of stuff going around right now. I am really concentrating on getting as healthy as I can before my pre op. My doctor has recommended the South Beach diet pre op, so I am working on that. I plan to tackle cleaning out my pantry, fridge, and freezer this next weekend to get the house lap band ready. What are y'all stocking up on? I have tried the chocolate Unjury powder and it is pretty good. I am not impressed with Muscle Milk, but thinking about buying some ready made Protein Drinks to try out in the next few weeks. What are your suggestions for my shopping list? I am type 2 diabetic, have thyroid problems and am 2 years post hysterectomy, so using estrogen. (I am an endocrinologist's 401K builder!!) I am hoping the lap band will help me get my weight and my health back on the right track!!

I am very glad to find this group. I just had my surgery today and am home recovering. I am so glad I went to a surgery center because I would much rather recover at home than at the hospital. I am glad for the support of others who re currently going through the same thing

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
