I am just wondering if anyone had this happen before surgery? The day after the surgeon scheduled my surgery (Jan 3) the upper part of my stomach started to hurt. It gets better if I take antacids but it still worries me. I called my regular doctor but they said if I did not have it before it is probally stress and worry about the surgery. I am just worried I have a hernia and it will stop me from surgery. I really dont want to put the surgery off anymore. I am ready to start my new life.

Sounds like nerves to me. Try to focus on the positive things about your future.

Hi shay, from what u have heard, a hernia does not postpone surgery...it is something they usually fix during the surgery. Your Dr is probably right, I know I will be nervous before my surgery, its probably stress or anxiety related.

they fixed my hernia and if they don't tell you, you wouldn't know the difference,so do not worry about it
