How Often Do You Weigh In?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how often everyone weighs in. I only do it one time per week...every Sunday. I figure that way I start the week knowing if I should keep doing the same or what I need to work on

I haven't been banded yet, but I weight at least once a week.. I feel like it makes me make sure I stay to the pre-op diet (mine is a month) because I know I have to weigh in a few days, but that's just me. I know after surgery my doctor doesn't want you to weight yourself at all, so the only time I weight after surgery is supposed to be when I go to see him.

Every single morning - no matter if i know it will be up or down - it's the thing that has always kept me accountable. Not weighing is what led me to get morbidly obese - the weight was out of sight out of mind. I know that the scale moves up sometimes through no fault of my own (i.e., Water weight at ovulation or time of month) but i still do it.

I weigh in once a week. I used to weigh in everyday but I found myself becoming a little to obsessed with weighing myself. I would weigh before I used the bathroom and after I used the bathroom lol crazy!

I won't lie. I step on that dang thing everyday. Recently went out of town and freaked out because I wasn't going to be able to weigh. But got over it.

I only record it on Wednesday's. Weigh down Wednesday. Lol. And try to ignore the rest of the days weights.

When I was loosing, I weighed in once a week and recorded it. While maintaining I weigh myself every day. I try not to let the natural flucuations drive me crazy. I think it's important that I stay within a range of a few pounds.

That being said, I have had a hard time the last couple months, went to Europe and haven't seemed to really get back on track since. Now it's Thanksgiving and I'm about 15 pounds above my target weight uggg. I hope I can turn it around inbetween Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am going to go back to once a week weigh ins. Also start journaling like I was before. I figure what I was doing was working, so I should do that again to get the 15 pounds off.

I don't own a scale and don't plan to purchase one. I weigh in when I go see the doctor. The last time I weighed in was a week after surgery and I will be seeing the surgeon on 11/30 for my first fill and I will weigh in at that time. I refuse to be a slave to the scale. I want to work on building a healthier lifestyle and enjoying life. Pre-surgery I would weigh in once a month and I found that was enough. I knew I was losing because the fit of my clothes and the thinning of my face and that was enough for me.

I weigh in everyday and record it on Thursday. I don't obsess about the number except for on Thursday! It helps keep me accountable and tells me if I need to change up my eating or work out routine. Works for me so far!

I will admit too, I weigh myself everyday! Unfortunatey my scale at home is about 5 pounds less than the doctor's office. Well its a good thing mine at home is saying less-lol I know the scale is going to change everyday, but I guess I have a little OCD, I just have to

Every day.... like someone else said... not weighing myself daily led me to get 200lbs overweight....

Every day weigher here. My Wii records it so I can look at the graphs and see where I am at any time. It keeps me accountable. I don't freak out about the variations of a pound or two if I know I have done well. But if I slipped it makes me get back on the program of healthy eating.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
