Feeling like crap

Recommended Posts

I had my lap band surgery 2 week ago. I went to help my husband fix one of our bedrooms. I was putting primer on the walls. Omg I'm so sore. I guess I shouldn't have helped out. Other than that I'm on mushy foods an it's kinda sore at time. Should I notify my doctor ? Also my whole body aches. Feels like the flu but I'm not sure. My stomach is sore. What should I do? I need feed back please if anyone is experiencing something like this . Thanks guys xoxoxo

Sounds like you have overdone the physical stuff too soon after your surgery. You know better than anyone how you feel and whether you need to see your dr or not. If it was me and it just felt like overdoing it, I wouldn't, but anything else, or if I was still worried, definitely call.

@ sage tracey thanks for the reply. I bet I did over do it. Freak that I'm not helping my husband "/ I need to recoup. Apparently I have a virus not the flu. Thank god. Key the sweats and chills continue

Hope that you are feeling better soon. Look after yourself now so that you can be even more of a help to your husband down the track.

My husband and I were talking about my weight loss journey today and I discovered just how worried he had been that I would end up as an invalid who was not able to participate in life with him. I am so glad I made this decision and have him on my side!

Really ! My husband was by my side and for it. After surgery he was against it cuz I got sick with the anesthesia that they kept me an extra night. I was also having 2nd thoughts of it. But now that I can eat a little. We are very smart of the choices of food we eat and how much I should have which doesn't bother me eating less.

I hope I can have a baby in a year in a half from now. I only want one they seem expensive LOL. That's my goal. When I started I was at 324 now I'm at 309 and I'm excited How about you ?

If you ever feel as if you might call your doctor, you should do just that! Before my surgery they made sure to stress to me to get plenty of bed rest for the 1st 2 days, no exceptions. I was feeling badly at the beginning due to the whole diet change and read different threads here and BOOM... 4th day post op and I feel great. Keep up the good work just remember to give your body time to heal, and be very patient. Good luck.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
