Take 3 Calcium citrate per day....chewable of course...calcium accurate wont absorb make sure its citrate...congrats on ur success...

I was able to start taking my MVI on post-op day 3, not before. That was my MDs rule. I take Bariastric fusion chewable Vitamin. No more going back to regular vitamins!! I'm going to stick with the ones I purchased! Besides, regualr MVI make me sick...weird, I know, but true.

My doc recommended a chewable or Gummy Vitamin, but that it is labeled as a "complete" daily vitamin. I think those mean like 100% zinc, Iron, etc. A lot of gummies and chewables don't have that so read labels carefully. My dietitian wants me to take Calcium eventually, but she says it's not urgent because I'm young and I'm a big milk drinker. Good luck with your healing process, I got banded yesterday, so I'm in the same boat.

I'm one week post op also. I love it now. Regretted it in the beginning. I see a lot of you were asking about a Vitamin. I take a chewy Calcium, gummy vitamins & Gummy Fiber. I haven't ate anything just my shakes & my port site still have my bandages...it's not sore but itchy. Anyway everyone have a blessed day!

I'm one week post op today, too! I also wondered if made the right choice, but as of today, I am down 22 lbs from before my pre op diet! Very exciting times! I tried going back to work today, but had waves of incision pain. I ended up leaving after half a day :( Have you gone back to work yet?

I just hit my 1 week today! The first week I will admit was horrible. The gas pains were bad and I contemplated what I had done to myself, but when I started to notice that I was loosing a few pounds, I realized that what I had done to myself wasn't the question I should have been asking, so instead I thought "Why didn't I do this earlier'? I am only down 16 pound pre-surgery to now, but I am not at all upset. I broke the yucky 200 mark and I never thought I would do that. I am SO proud of myself. I feel for you ladies with the gas, it will get better I promise. Heating pads can also be your best friend, use them on your back and it dulls the pain. Walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip! I am drinking iced tea without the ice with sweetener instead of sugar and Water. I have been eating Soups and yogurts. I am thinking of incorporating mashed potatoes for a more full feeling as I am starting to get really hungry and don't go back to see the doctor till 07/24. Congratulations to all of us:)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
