Your weigh Ins

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd start a topic where people can share their weight history from pre-surgery up to today if you want. A lot of people are asking how quickly us bandsters have lost, etc. I lose very slow. So, here it goes...

Pre surgery 222

Day of surgery 206.5

1 week 203.5

2 weeks 203.5

3 weeks 203.5 (cussing the scale at this point)

4 weeks 202

5 weeks 201

6 weeks 199

7 weeks 197

8 weeks 195

9 weeks 192

The beginning of my journey: 254

Surgery day: 233

Now (a little over 6 months post-op): 197

My goal weight is somewhere between 150-160. Not sure exactly where I want to be. I'll see how I feel at those weights and go from there.

My weighloss has definitely slowed the past 2 months. I joined a gym 3 weeks ago and I am doing 4-5 days of cardio and 2-3 days of lifting weights. I am hoping that this will help move things along in the right direction...down!!

for some reason i cannot get a ticker. It just stays on the same screen when I select one...oh well.

Well I started all my Insurance stuff in feb of this year. I was 317 or 318. I was required 6 months of weightloss appointments.

Sunday August 28 was the start of my pre-op diet I was 304. Then I had my consult with my surgeon and I weighed 298. Surgery was on 09/02/11 I weighed in at 290.

I weighed myself today and I am 283. I dunno what my goal is. I'm trying to take baby steps. So my next goal is 270. I was around that weight before I got pregnant sept 2009. The smallest i've been during my adulthood I think is 235 when I was 24 or so. I'm 35 now.

I look smaller. even I noticed it. My incision sites are swollen and my tummy looks bloated but I cannot wait till I can hit the gym!!

My starting weight was 345

Day of surgery (June 20th) - 326.8

1st week - 316.8

2nd week - 318.2 (went on soft food)

3rd week - 319

4th week - 316.5 (had first fill 2.5cc)

5th week - 309.4

6th week - 308.8

7th week - 307 (had 2nd fill 1.5 cc)

8th week - 298.8 (had unfill -1 cc)

9th week - 297.2

10th week - 295.6

11th week - 292

As you can see I even GAINED weight before my first fill, even though I wasn't eating much. My body was holding on to everything after the liquid diet, but then it started coming off rather quickly! Just be patient it will happen!

As you can see, I had a couple bad months the first year and since my first bandiversary it has come off much slower. It's still coming off, though and that's all that matters!

Let's see:

The day I started pre-op diet: 203

Day of surgery: 193

I got down to about 188 during the first few days when I was on Clear liquids, but then I gained it back and was at 192 until I got my first fill. Anybody who is between the surgery and fills and isn't losing weight, don't sweat it. You think that since you have the band you should be losing weight but it doesn't always work that way. It was a very frustrating month for me.

After my first fill I got down to 188 (two week time span)

After my second fill I got down to maybe 187. I had started the couch to 5k so I was losing inches but not pounds on the scale which was still very frustrating.

My third fill was the most recent about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I'm down to 184 now. I'm hoping for at least another pound off before I go back in on Tuesday. :)

In the beginning, I was hoping to have lost more by now, but now that I'm here I'm ok with where I'm at. Especially now that it's coming off pretty steadily :)

Everybody is doing really great!! Keep it up :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
