DH is down to 200, and his goal is 185. I tell ya what...that inch per 35 pounds is just about right. He has gone from 250 to 200 (quickly too. i hate him for that.) and he has grown some definitely! Plus, as I lose there is less cushion and, boy howdy, sex is like being with a completely different person!! I told him when he gets to goal he will have to shave his beard off, then I can pretend I am having a fling! LOL :)

I noticed when we were out of town recently sex wasn't as dadblasted tiring as it used to be....and I think I actually said something like. Hey that was good, we should do that more often. LOL But then we came home and the kids, the dog and I have all taken our turn at being sick....but hey we should really do THAT more often.

It'll be even nicer when I loose more weight, maybe I can keep up with my "marathon" man then. Am I the only women I know that has wished her man was more into "quickies" lol.

Nope, I feel that way sometimes too. DH and I work different schedules (me: regular 9 to 5, him 4pm to 2am) and he wakes me up for some action when he gets home. Sometimes I just want him to get in and get out so I can go back to sleep, but then... it gets just too damn good I don't want him to stop!

God no you are not the only one!! My DH doesn't know the meaning of "quickie" and thinks the longer it takes, the better it is. And I mean the man would go for 4 or 5 hours if I let him. I love him to death, and se is awesome, but after about an hour, I am tired. Maybe as I lose I will be able to keep up as well.

Oh, quickies. I soooo wish he was into quickies. A man can be too darn considerate and attentive at times. He'd get it a lot more often if it didnt require me to stay away for an hour and a half. Ten minutes and then sleep, now I'd be up for that nearly every single night.

No sir, every time it has to be the full on thing, it must be earthmoving for me, blah de blah. Sometimes you just want to bonk, you know?

Jacqui, I tell DH about that, and he agrees, we go for it, and he takes an hour. I ask after "I thought you were going to be quick! What happened?" His response...

"I know that once you started you would want to go as long as me."

Just slightly conceited... LOL

I so totally agree, we would defiently have it more often if it wasn't an hour long commitment at least. Not that I don't enjoy it, but I can't do that day in and day out. Now a quickie here and there, that would be great. My neighbor used to call up and ask if I could watch the kids for 30 minutes cause her and her husband needed to go over finances. LOL Who can do finances in 30 minutes! LOL

HA HA HA HA!!!!! I read the Celing Fan Comment and and a former patient of mine came to mind. I was working in a pediatric office and a three month old baby came in with both parents. Dad had a bandage on his head. During the conversation I asked him what happend to his head. His wife BUSTED UP laughing. and said for me to ask for the full story.

SOOO, naturally I did. Dad turned about 8 shaded of red and then protested but finally told me. The couple was ROLE PLAYING. mom was naked and hand cuffed to the bed. (one hand on each top corner poster of the bed) Dad was playing a hero with a cape. (he was wearing a towel safety pinned around his neck and goggles over his eyes and nothing else) He thought it would be cool to stand on the top of the dresser and jump onto the bed to RESCUE his captured love. Well, (I am about to pee my pants laughing already) DAD forgot that the CEILING fan was on. He jumped off the dresser, Hit his head on the celing fan, which caused about a 5 inch laceration on the forehead and knocked himself out cold. So, here is dad laying naked with a cape and goggles and a bleeding cut passed out on naked, cuffed -to- the- bed- mom. :omg: ( HA HA HA HA HA HA HA )

Mom can't get dad to respond so she starts SCREAMING for HELP:help: at the top of her lungs. Fortnuately, one of the neighbors hears her and calls 911. the Firefighters break open the locked front door and rush to thier bedroom to see this scene. The first responder on the scene was a fireman who was laughing so hard he actually sat on the floor next to the bed. :faint: luckly right behind him was a paramedic who didnt laugh AS hard, he was still able to help dad out. But they couldnt find the keys to the cuffs. So the rescuers had to wait for the COPS to get there to unlock the cuffs pinning mom to the bed. Yes they were nice enought to cover naked mom with a blanket. :) Mom said the most fun part was hearing other nurses and docs in the ER re telling the story to each other as they waited for dad to be stitched up.

I haven't laughed that hard in a very long time. And when I saw THE INCREDIVLES where the Edna says "NO CAPES!" I just think about that couple and I think yeah DAD no capes!!!!

Okay, I'm going to tell a great NSV that relates to this thread and one that I thought I would never share in a forum such as this.

Here goes, many of you have been discussing the Dog style position, which by the way is my favorite. The ultimate though is Dog Style with me standing and at the side of the bed with DW on the bed. To pull this off you need to be in relativley good shape so if you can go for a while before the legs give out you are doing well.

Finally it is quite a work out especially if you consider vines stat of 1 inch for evey 35 pounds. Eventually after significant weight loss it will also become a nice walk (3 steps forward 3 steps back)

The other day because of the height of the bed at the hotel we were ate I was able to do it all on my tip toes. Try that for a significant period of time. Not a bad NSV at all

Oh thats is way too funny. My husband has already stated the next bed has to have posts...lol. I'll just have to make sure NO capes are involved.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
