SMOKEY! Being from Detroit and growing up during the Motown era, I named "him" after Smokey Robinson because he's my own little Miracle!!!

Mine is Hildegarde which means battle fortress. She is my fortress in my fight against fat. On good days I call her Hildy! My kids ask if she is being a Hildegarde (really finicky) or Hildy (loosened up).

My bands name is Chokum. This makes no sense in English but it means small or a little in Korean. It only seems fitting since it only lets me eat a small amount or a little bit of food.< /p>

I never named my first band and it wasnt until I had drains that I came up with names ( with the help of some of my bandster sisters). Chokum has a very close friend Polo (port), and they are always attached at the errr hip? Polo causes some problems sometimes though and likes to hide from our frienemy Marco ( The doctor).

It really hurts me when Polo hides from Marco, but since Chokum is a bit afraid of Marco I can see why Polo is only trying to protect him.

Did you catch all that? lol

I call mine "baby foot" because I have always been able to feel it next to my belly button and it feels like a baby foot. sometimes when I bend over it will poke me. so it acts like a baby foot sometimes to. ;)

This is interesting. I guess I'm behind times, because I have never heard of this !

But I will dig deep, and try to come up with a name of someone from the Starvation Nation.

Well I am not banded yet but, just as a couple looks forward to the baby they are adopting, I am doing the same here. So...when I refer to my future new "baby" so to speak. I always call HER Bandelina. She is small like thumbelina and hopefully will assist me with her "fairy dust". Lol.

Some how I keep coming up with the name Welcome to the Jungle !

Seeing where its placed, then the construction itself, all the scar tissue they keep telling me I have ! ! ! It's a Jungle in there... So from the Starvation Nation,,,, I choose "Welcome to the Jungle!" A bit long but appropriate.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
