Cheeseburger Pie

Recommended Posts

I always loved cheeseburger pie (from the back of the bisquick box) and figured I would share my healthy version:

This recipe serves 8.

1 lb lean (93% lean) ground beef

1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)

2 small tomatoes

1 cup fat free shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix

1 cup skim plus milk

2 eggs

If you want to even lessen the fat and calories more, you can use heart smart bisquick and egg whites

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
  2. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and onion (season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.) over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Spread in pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese.
  3. In small bowl, stir bisquick, milk and eggs with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate.
  4. Slice Tomato and cover the entire top of the pie.
  5. Bake about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean

Here is the nutritional information based on the above ingredients:

1 Serving: 181 calories; 6.12g of fat; 10.86 carbs; 3.54 sugars; 19.91 Protein

Hope you all enjoy!!!

I love cheeseburger pie. My mom makes it. But does the bisquick go down ok? I heard that doughy bread types of food makes most people stuck.

Fortunately, I have not had a problem with it. It is pretty moist --- so far so good :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
