Recommended Posts

Hi all, I just got a 7 cc fill in a 10 band and was happy that I can finally feel it...but, it is so tight...chicken got stuck last night and threw up. I was literally up all night. I called dr. And he saw me today I was expecting an unfit but don't want to start gaining, I am able to get fluids Down ate crackers, broth, and bowl of ice cream today. So when I get to office he said he doesn't think I need an unfit I was feeling better when I was there...now I am home and drank a Protein Shake for dinner 2 pieces of cheese and now feel very tight and am so wishing I would have let him take some Fluid out...I have to wait until tues now....ughhhh

Any ideas of what to do until then?

If this is a good fill why am I still hungry yet so tight

I am about ready to go to er do those drs know how to take fluid out

Please please respond...thanks and best of luck to all

I had a fill 2 Tuesdays ago & was miserable, regurgitation after everything. My dr says fluids for 7 days after a fill. so not even purred food! Drink cold cold things, & slowly. Your stomache swells after you throw up, making it harder to keep stuff down. Small sips of Water all throughout your day so you don't get dehydrated. Trust me, your body will adjust in a week, & you can start eating mushy foods. But thus is where you want to be. no portions over a small plate. Lose the appetite girly, this is where you want to be!!

7 days of liquids after a fill seems a bit extreme to me, but you always want to listen to your dr. You also need to take into account that if you do get stuck, you will have some swelling which will make you tighter. Personally, I have to do 2-3 days of liquids after a fill, but that's my own choice. My Dr says only 24 hours, but my stomache is pretty sensitive, and I'm more comfortable with closer to 3 days. When was your fill? I also can't do extremely cold liquids. They will not go down the week after a fill. i do better with room temperature, cool, or warm, but not cold. Make sure you're trying to get your Protein and fluids in, when you're dehydrated you get tighter also.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
