I voted none at all, just eat till I'm full. But I'm choosing wisely, lots of fruit and vegetables, pretty low fat (but I do eat the good fats), trying to get in lots of fibre and still enough Protein, etc etc. So I'm not eating any rubbish which means it's pretty low cal. I've done the calorie counting thing so many times in my life I can keep a pretty accurate mental scorecard and it's came in around 1000-1200 for the first couple of weeks, is edging up to 1500ish now, I think I will be having a fill next week.

 This is my first week on regular food and I am trying to eat low fat and low sugar. I am eating my Protein first followed by my vegetables and carbs. It is so nice to be back on regular food.

I've found, post-op, that I can eat just about anything in moderation. The simple act of eating about 1/3 of my pre-op intake is enough to have me losing an average of 1.5 lbs per week. Today I officially hit the 20lbs loss mark! - I guess I should update my ticker....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
