How much do your fills cost?

Recommended Posts

Mine are covered 100% (under fluoroscopy) - no copay. If memory serves my statement of benefits said they were billing the insurance around $521 and were getting paid around $485 (writing off the rest).

Once my Dr. switches to office visit fills (which they can't currently bill for) then that cost may change.

I have Kaiser in Georgia. They cover no fills or any kind of weight loss surgery (or meds) Thankfully I was able to get my surgery before I got on Kaiser. I am therefore self pay and I pay 149 per fill. This includes the doctor visit and the procedure. No fluro done here either.

All of my consultations with the surgeon or dietitian plus all of my fills are free until I reach my target weight

I am self pay and that was the agreement we reached prior to surgery

My total cost was $6500

My banding was done in Jakarta Indonesia ( I live here) by Indonesia's leading lap band surgeon Dr Barlian Sutedje Director General of the Gading Pluit Hospital

ok, i'll try this again, i don't know how to do the BMI thing but i'm now 150 and 5'6" and have lost 126#

banded in 07 by Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana who i would recommend to anyone

all inclusive surgery was 8500 and very well orchestrated

my loss was somewhat slow, i was not getting aggressive fills for the first 2 years

then i met dr. vitello in chicago who has/had GREAT technique with fluoroscopy (i'm a rn so i'm kind of picky)

weight came off somewhat slowly but very healthy and i have very little loose skin which surprises me as i am 53

anyway, now i can't stop losing and want to so i want some of the restriction removed

can't find a reasonably priced local doc so i'm asking for referrals for st louis, des moines, chicago, memphis, kc---you get the idea, don't mind traveling a few hours

thats about it for me

nice to meet you all and good luck, don't lose faith, i had some good support in my darker hours

I have a form of Regence Blue Shield. Thru the clic I was operated at, my first 13 months post op re covered 100% both fills & unfills, and any office visits I feel I need. after that self pay is $150/fill. I'm not sure if my insurance will cover them.

I hope you have found some help in the time between your post and me reading this...but I was banded on 12/28 by Dr. Darin Minkin in St. Louis! I am now a cash patient and I pay $125 for fills. I am not sure how he is about taking patients that he hasnt banded...but I would think it would be worth a phone call! He is an excellent dr!! Good Luck!!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
