How much do your fills cost?

Recommended Posts

I currently have Anthem Blue Cross and I am unsure what type of visit insurance companies consider a "fill" (office visit, specialty visit, etc).

I was wondering, what are the typical cost associated with getting your 'fill/unfill'?

Please note if you are self pay or if your insurance covers it.

Thanks!!! :P

I am with United Healthcare and my fills are covered 100%, no co-pay. I know that according to my EOB reports, my insurance company is charged $200 for a regular fill (a fill with no fluoro)

My doc only does fluro fills. If you are self pay it is 150$. Or they bill your ins. Well with my INS until we meet our DED we pay the contracted rate, then after the DED we pay 15%. So until DED is met we pay like 250$ a fill, but after it is met we pay like 25$. They offered to let us do self pay even with INS but since I wanna get my DED met I will pay a bit more up front now for better savings later.

I am self pay.

My first fill of one cc was done in surgery.

My second fill was under fluro and was $750.

I have arranged with a PA to do any future fills - he charges $135.

My doctor only does fluro fills. I am self pay. I have a time frame of no charge fills and then they will be $100 each after that.

Depending on whether or not and exam is billed along with the fill, my copay is either $35 or $150.

If I pay cash instead, it's $100. I will probably just pay cash when they start coming out of pocket.

$750!!!!! Well I hope you got your money's worth and not just a mere cc or something! That's criminal. My fills are also under fluoroscope and are $100/cash.

That doctor was/is a crook. Insisted that I sign up for his aftercare program for $1750 even though I live three hours from his office and would not be able to attend the meetings or use the gym or... well, you get the idea.

I fired him.

Good for you! I'm telling you, nowadays if we don't take our health into our own hands, we end up getting ripped off or not cared for properly!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
