Good luck to everyone getting banded in the next couple of days! I was banded on Wed, and feel pretty good. I'm not running any marathons or anything, but taking everything a little slower so I can heal. Dealing a little bit with some nausea and gas pains, but other than that good!!

:D Congratulations!!! Glad everything went well

I am back at home now from surgery. It went very smoothly, but I have hernias that have probably been there since I had my twins. My dr said it was no big deal and he would repair them in 4-6 months. The pain really has not been bas at all. I wih all of you luck and hope that your surgery goes as well as mine did.

I was banded on Monday - started at 207, have followed the manual to a T and I am at 200.2 as of this morning. Keep drinking that flavored Water. The pain in my left shoulder was not something I expected, and I still feel a little weak - no way I can drive around yet in my car.

Can someone tell me how to get my ticker to work? I used Lilyslim but it isn't showing up :(

Thank you!! I am very excited and if anyone can believe it or not - I started my journey when I saw the FDA approving the Lap Band for lower BMIs. I read up on it, did my research, and when I hit my all time high ever I contacted the surgeon.

My choice of flavored water is from Target - it is called Archer Farms and is the blackberry and also regular berry flavor. I tried the little "MIO" bottle where you can add the drops to your Water and yougurt - that does not taste good in my view. I am also having sugar free popsicles (one a day). Today was my first day eating tuna with a little light mayo mixed in. I am allowed to drink 30 minutes before or after eating and no snacking in between.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
