Band for sale on eBay!??

Recommended Posts

personally i think its kinda neat.. 5 bucks for something thats easily 6k in the US. Its useful to explain how the band works to someone.. especially in support groups. The support group here has one they pass around so that you know what ur gettin put inside of you =)

Did ya'll see that this seller dropped all of the bids? I'm pretty sure that's because it wasn't going for such a "low" price... I bet it will be back up soon. I'll keep an eye out...

I believe Inamed made them stop the auction. I spoke with Don Mills and he said that Inamed's legal team was going to jump right on this auction. Also that seller let 2 other bands sell for less than $500 each. ~Mandy

Okay, I got curious so I emailed the seller. They said offered to sell it to me privately. Ummmm, I don't think Inamed cured the issue.

Penni, were you the winning bidder? Did they ever respond to your email?

I see that they did not complete the auction....curious if they closed it early OR eBay noticed and cancelled it....I could just kick myself...thinking of all those wasted days I worried about approval when all I had to do is jump on eBay......<Yeah Right> lol

Actually Inamed sent them a letter demanding that the band be pulled from the auction site. There are regulations that go along with the sale of the LapBand in the states. I spoke with Don Mills and he said it would be taken care of, the next day the auction had been pulled. ~Mandy

So they sent a letter, but obviously, they didn't demand the product be returned to them... I think they put a bandaid the problem, but didn't stitch it up. Anyways, this isn't the last band we'll see on eBay. I've seen similar stuff on Yahoo Auctions... UGH!

I don't think they can legally demand the product back. This company bought the band from a surgeon. (it is expired) Seems like it is legally theirs to own but not to sell, does that make any sense? I think they did all they could within their legal rights. Anyone know for sure? ~Mandy

What if I actually won the bid? LOL!!!!
That's an easy one: use the band in a gorgeous new beaded necklace! I'll take mine with turquoise and amethyst, please. With sterling silver threads wrapped around the port. If I can't afford the necklace, you could always list this fabulous creation on Ebay. . .

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
