one week pre banding

Hi, I am pre op for a lap banding on Feb. 7th. Am a bit nervous about the air thing, even though I have had abdominal surgery before, is this air really that painful? I don't remember that. How bad was your pain (1-10) by day 3? Did you come home and rest on the couch or is bed better. I have a bedroom upstairs, places to lie down on couches downstairs where everyone else is. Thanks for any post op experiences.... hopeforthebest

I am post op day 3, and i really dont have any gas pains. i had bad gas pains right after surgery for a few hours, but after that it was just muscle and incision pain. My pain today is probably about a 4 and I'm only taking tylenol. Getting in and out of bed was really hard the first 2 nights but it was doable. I do still have some gas but it isn't painful.

Good luck! It gets better everyday!
