Ok we need to get our own group going!!! I just moved here from IL, and would love to start a support group, I'm right near Liberty Station in point loma. Let's get this going guys! I need support!

LOL its san diegans, we are here but no one really stays active for some reason in the San Diego topics, dunno why.. cocoabean on my friends list is local, so is moo, they are the most active local friends. i think everyone searches topics, idk. me and cocoabean are east county girls not sure about moo. i thinks she is southbay. any ways HI WELCOME!!

Hello......

I live in the Imperial Valley (east of San Diego about 1 1/2 hr drive). I would be willing to join any group............ok, wait a minute. I gotta get banded first LOL. I am waiting on insurance approval and then I will know more. rolleyes.gif

San Diegans! We really need a more active group! ;) If anyone is ever looking for local support/excercise meetings let me know! Im in east county (el cajon) but mobile and willing to drive as far as north county since Im from Oceanside. :) PM me anytime!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
