I have had 4 fills now and was banded back in July. I have 6cc's in a 9cc band. I feel very restricted...in fact so much that I can't tolerate eating solids first thing the a.m....so only drink a Protein Shake. But now I have found that when I eat anything but Soup, chili, yougurt, cream of wheat, eggs, cheese, some soft chicken or ground turkey etc..I get a stuck feeling and then slime. It is really horrible. I am confused as what to do because I am actually feeling restriction, but can't hardly eat much variety of foods. I'm happy I don't get hungry and I'm losing weight, since I can't eat. I know that's what the band is supposed to do, yet I also know I'm probably too tight and need a cc taken out. Such a dilemna for me....losing weight, but I sure don't like excusing myself from the table constantly and not being able to eat foods I ate before this last fill. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am wondering....was your last fill done today?? My surgeon uses the xray for fills....so he never over fills his patients. When I have had a fill, my surgeon puts me back on all food stages, 3-4 days at a time. So, I would be on Clear liquids for about 4 days after my fill, then 4 days of full liquids, soft foods, then solid. If your fill was done today, I would just drink liquids for a few days until the swelling has gone down. I wouldn't jump to get unfilled quite yet....especially if you can get down your fluids!! Good luck....

Hi there, No actually when I posted that I had my fill about 2 weeks before. I did do the liquid and soft food diet right after, but as soon as, I started to eat the solids is when I began to PB. I still am PB'ing with solids, so now I am trying to focus on the easy to go down foods, ie soft foods, that won't cause problems. But hey I'm losing weight. So, it's not all bad :) What an interesting journey this has been so far...but I am getting used to the change in the lifestyle.

I was getting stuck on everything about a week after my last fill... My NP described it as biting your cheek. When you bite your cheek (get stuck) it irritates the area and causes swelling .. so the next time you go to eat chances are because of the swelling being in the way you will cont. to bite your cheek over and over .. so the cycle begins of biting your cheek or getting stuck.. Each one a little worse then the last. I went in and had 2 cc's removed and was told to baby it for a week and avoid stuckage... I couldnt believe how goood I felt instantly. I went back a week later granted up a pound and had the 2cc's put back in .. no isues now that the area has "healed" from it's week of constant trauma.

I am the same way, 4th fill Dec 15th with 6.66'ccs and I have all the same problems you are having but sometimes of the day are better than others. In the morning def. nothing until about 11am then just a little bit and then after like 4 bites I start the sliming and sometimes vomiting. I am hoping it will subside after sometime. Good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
