I've lost over a hundred pounds and my boobs have been the sacrificial thing. I went from a DDD to a saggy C. Ew! Fine in a good bra, but a basic disaster otherwise.

Oh, I'm so glad you asked this question! My girls are way too big at DD (I'm only 5' 1"). My doctor and I have already discussed that some surgery will be necessary at a later date. I figure I'll have to have a reduction and a lift, and my goal is to get down to a C whether through weight loss, surgery, or both. :)

I was a 42 C 87lbs ago..now I am a 38 D (who knew that after being measured properly, I was wearing the wrong cup size) So the circumference around my body has decreased and yes they are defalted but they are there and with a really good push up they look fine. I could care less, I suppose and if my husband doesn't like them, he could always go find him a perkier pair. I was teasing him once (he likes chunky chicks but I chose this for myself, my health and our fertility) that if he wanted a big girl that it was cool with me because I would be young, skinny and even hotter so my options would be wide open. Thank God we love each like crazy and he is mad proud of me.

Cliche or not but don't you love someone who loves you "through thick and thin"?

As soon as I lost a few pounds I noticed the cups were getting too big in my current bras. And of course my husbands first response was, "I knew that would happen!"

Right now I'm still using the bras I had because I dont want to go buy more if they go down another size. But I could safely say I've went down a cup size after 40 lbs lost. But starting at a DDD and going down is somewhat of a relief.

I'm just at the 3rd month mark and I'm hoping my girls shrink!! Of course the bf doesn't want them too! I would like to get back to a full C but I'm thinking a lift is in order ;)

Well, over the last 10 yrs I have gained 100lbs.... and the girls went from a perky 34C to a not so perky 38DDD.. I am assuming they will deflate and a boob job will be in order.. one step at a time :)

I started at a 46F, and am now down to a 32D (almost to a C). They are definitely saggy and deflated! But since I've gotten below 130, though they continue to shrink, they're starting to shrink UP a little now, and look a tad bit better. I could still really use a breast lift at some point though.

In 3 1/2 months my "girls" have gone from a 46DDD to a 42D and are still shrinking! I haven't been a D cup since high school (15 yrs. ago)!

Hello ladies,

Hope this question is not too intrusive, but I gotta at least ask. Maybe someone will be brave and answer B)

Got a question about "the girls." Just wondering if they will shrink. I have tried many, many diets over the years, of course never losing enough significant weight for the girls to shrink.

I am only looking to drop maybe one cup size. Just wondering what has been some of your experiences ?

Thanks, T

Mine shrunk significantly. I was 42-44 dd, I am now 36 d. I have been measured as 34 c or d, but find I prefer my underwire 36 d brs, so even buy new at same size. It was excitiing for me to go to Victoria Secret to purchase them. I haev lost 100 lbs, but noticed the size change start at about 30 lbs. Good luck, Karen (kll724)

PS: I have worn good bras from Victoria Secret since starting to loose weight, I had gotten 3 for Christmas in 2009. I wore them all for 9 months, until they were way big, them gave them to Salvation Army as a donation. I didn't feel too bad about that as I got a lot of wear out of them.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
