Resorting to Sliders....

Recommended Posts

So I will FINALLY get an unfill this Friday but in the mean time I have resorted to eating sliders just so I can survive...here I figured the less you eat the more you lose but that is so not the case so weird..

Well wish me luck this Friday I cant wait to get some Fluid taken out sounds strange but true I am so tired of the pain, sliming and constant PB'ing/throwing up. I dont wish this feeling on my worst enemy!

I just got the fill that made me tip over the edge. I am THRILLED!!!! I now can not eat everything and have major restriction at 8 cc's. I do PB and vomit at times but am learning how to eat small portions and chew, chew, chew. I hope this puts me over the edge. This is why I got the band in the first place!!!

Sorry you are having problems with the last fill.I hope the unfil works out well. I see you had surgery in Mexico. Are you getting your fills there or did you find a local physician?

[For the last 10 days I have been on less than sliders....typing with a shake in front of me!!!! Sorry to say this - but I am so freaking glad that I am not the only one out there - please do me a favor and read my blog. New to this - so not sure if I posted it on the right place....but girl - I know how you feel. I am just as tired of that. I already went to my dr on Tuesday and he took some out...still cant eat. I hope the swelling go down because right now - I need something other that orange juice with liquid vitamins and shakes!!!! Good luck

Being overfilled is no fun. I've been there, done that, don't want to do it again! It was such a relief to have just a tiny bit taken out. I took one swallow of Water and knew it was all good.

Best wishes for a good unfill tomorrow!

Oh you so have my condolences! :huggie:

I recently went through a tight episode and have now been a little too loose for 2 weeks.... OMG I didn't realize how much my band was really helping me curb my cravings. Thank god I am getting a slight fill Monday! I was never much of a sweets eater before my band and I swear sugar calls my name in the middle of the night now! It's insane! I have been terrible at not giving into temptations sadly :( I ate a bag of skittles earlier... I can't stand those things! WTH?

I'm wondering if I need to do absolutely no carbs for a period to stop the insane cravings? Anyone have any suggestions?

I got my first fill a week ago and right now, I am very frustrated. My doctor told me he was going to be very aggressive for my first fill and put in 4 ccs. WAY TOO MUCH. He immediately took out .5 cc's and then another .5 cc. I left the office with a feeling in my chest like I needed to burp. Well, I headed back to the office, (the doctor had left for a bit so I had to wait on him to come back) and before he got back I started to throw up the Water that he had me drink. This was over 3 hours from the time I left the office. When he got there, he took out another cc, so I now have only 2 ccs in. Since then, I am struggling with taking small bites and eating too fast. I have been getting stuck a lot and I am so mad at myself! I realize that the getting stuck is my fault and today is the day that I am going to really start to concentrate on how I am eating and what I am eating. I know I have to do it myself, but the change of habit is really kicking my butt!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
