What help me was the 80/20 rule;) I was good most of the time but I did allow myself to cheat not the whole day but one meal and then I was back on track. My last meal before my band was Chick fil a meal number one lol but i never had soda, Oh yea an I had pumkin cheesecake:lol: Trust me this is how to make it. Because after the band nothing but liquid So I thank God I did it:D

I really dont want to cheat i am one week in to my two week pre surgery liquids but i am seriously thinking of having some mexican food tomarrow but i dont want to get in to the hospital and have them tell me i have to postpone my surgery. do you think that will happen if i cheat once? When did you get your surgery done?

Today I am on the second day of my pre-op diet and omg this crap sucks! After getting over the fact that this is horrible i go to what makes it barable, for me its sugar free Jello. I don't know how I would survive this diet without it. What is helping you or helped you get through and when/was your surgery date?

Dec. 8th 2010 surgery date.

Hi Docs Wife,

My name is Kelly. I went to one of my pre op appts today. I didnt realize that you were put on a diet before you had your surgery. It is gonna be tough for me too. I am not certain if I will have my surgery before Xmas or not. I was really surprised that every one in that office told me to have the sleeve done and then the nurse told me I could have the bypass if I wanted it! I weigh 218. I do not want the bypass. I wish you the best and I am about to know what you are dealing with!!!!

I only have to do 5 days pre op diet. Besides all liquid I can have 1 cup of steamed veggies per day. My surgery is 12/9 so I'm going to start on 12/4. Good luck everyone....WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
