1 week INTO Pre-Surgery Diet

Recommended Posts

Good Morning!

I have been Tricare approved and am into my first week of the Pre-Surgery Diet!

Couple of questions?

1. I have seen so many different 2 week pre-surgery diets.

Is it ok to eat a slice of chicken or Turkey?

2. I am drinking the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein drinks. I have tried chocolate and strawberry. So far so good.

I am also eating oatmeal, applesauce, pudding, Jello and fresh veggies.

Is it ok to eat the fresh veggies such as carrots and celerly?

I could use any suggestions and support!

I joined this group for some support!

Super nervous!

I agree you should ask your doc. I am on the 8th day of my liquid diet and I to am allowed only Clear Liquids and sf items like popsicles, crystal light and Protein shakes..in addition to clear broths all that i want. I am having some serious headaches due to not eating so i may have a little turkey or someting high in protein, but nothing with sugar and i do stick to my liquids during the day..I must say that I don't do this everyday, but i have found that just a little bit of something helps...stay strong and we all need the support...I know i do.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
