Went to TJ today 2 get some fill OUT

Recommended Posts

Well I left my house at 6:00 this morning to drive down to TJ to have some of my fill taken out. I've been miserable since having my FIRST fill 3 wks ago--5 months after being banded (& losing over 50). Dr O filled me to 2cc's and I ended up living on Soup, chips and ice cream every since because every solid (except chips of course) makes me choke and PB.

So Dr Martinez (who is the gosh darndest CUTEST DOCTOR IN THE WORLD) took me down to ONE CC this morning! Yikes! I was kinda hoping he'd just take me to 1.5... or even 1.3. I hope to heck I have SOME restriction. But, truth is... I do better with a little more self-control. I can be good inbetween the binging times if I put my mind to it. If the fill just keeps me from the big binges I think I'll be ok... as long as I get back to major exercise.

Anyway, I live in OC, CA and felt a little perturbed that I had to drive all the way down to TJ and was nervous about parking and taking a taxi at the border. Turns out, just like Michelle said, it was a PIECE OF CAKE (hmmm... did I say CAKE?) and I'm glad I did it because I feel easier about going back again sooner if there's a problem. I met the NICEST bandsters in the waiting room (none of them were YOU GUYS--I kept asking!). Did I ever feel like a schlub complaining to myself about having to drive 2.5 hours when one woman was there for a fill from FLORIDA and another from ALASKA!! Sheesh. I'm so damn lucky.

I wrote this in big letters on my bathroom mirror:

GRATITUDE--FEEL IT!

Just thought I'd share.

:)

I'm a bit too tight too, but I'm not PBin every day, and I'm on solids foods. But I can only manage about 700 calories, solids, but it isn't enough.

I'll be getting some taken out when I got home :) No leak!

Oh yeah! Come out to the OC in January. I've got your room all ready!

Michelle is about 20 minutes away from me, maybe between the two of us we could come up w/ a group for a Slumber party and you could write your trip off as a business expense!

Seriously, how about the 2nd or third weekend? I'm sure there are other SoCal bandsters who'd love to get together. I'd love to host. Whaddya think?

Kare, don't mess with me when it comes to throwing an OC Slumber Party! If you & Michelle can get 15 confirmed guests, color me there! Talk to Michelle then let me know. I'll bring Santa's Sled packed, so nobody will have to wait for orders! Either the 2nd or 3rd week in January are okay for now till my phone starts ringing this morning. The ONE thing I forgot is to buy a 2006 calendar insert for my date book, so last night several girls wanted to book parties so I'm running to Office Max in a bit. I can make a weekend out of it. Me, you & Michelle can hang out!

Hey Lisa!

I haven't forgotten about this. Holiday madness is upon me. December is definitely out. I'll talk to Michelle and see if we can set something up in January.

Didn't want you to think I'd forgotten you.

Yeah... like YOU are someone one could forget!

:P

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
