Lap band after RNY surgery

Hello,

I had GBP surgery in 1998 & ended up having a revision due to a blockage. I am now thinking of having the lap band but want to know is there any one out there that has had this done, if so how are you doing & what Dr. did your surgery? Any info will help.

When I had the revision done the Doctor made my opening wider so that my intake would be more. So now that my intake is more I am gaining wt. so that is why Im wondering if anyone has had this done. I have heard that it is possible.

I met a doc recently at an obesity talk for nurses. Dr. Sapala. Does revisions and has been practicing in baitrics simce the 1970's. There's a tecniques that is patented under his name for bypass. Anyway he was also in the clinical trials for the band. He seemed bery knowledgable with the alternatives.

Good luck on your journey
