Getting back on track

Recommended Posts

Its been a very long time since i have been on here- but i'm to the point where i just need the support.

I was unfilled at week 15 of my pregnancy due to losing 25 lbs during the 1st trimester and the baby wasn't developing properly. Lucky for me i didn't gain a bit of it back during the pregnancy and gave birth (via c/s) to a healthy baby girl in mid july 09.

I went back to get filled a few weeks ago, and to my surprise gained a whopping 40 lbs. which isn't that bad considering the weight i lost early on. but to see that weight on the scale really threw me off.

I had lost close to 80lbs before getting pregnant (i dont count the loss during the pregnancy) and i'm having such a hard time getting back in the mind frame of being banded. i'm feeling depressed and when i'm depressed all i want to do is eat...its a vicious circle and i can't seem to get out of it.

So how in the world do you get yourself back into that state of mind? i'm sure it doesn't help that i have a very stressful job and we're getting ready to move cross country here in a few weeks!

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

I totally understand what you are going through. I was on bedrest during most of my pregnancy and had a very difficult pregnancy. I gained about fifty pounds and only lost about ten of that post-pregnancy, probably mostly due to breastfeeding (which I was only able to do for a few months). My baby is now about 5 months old, I have had two 'aggressive' fills as the doctor put it and have not lost a single lb!

I easily lost weight, of coarse with giving up many types of foods, pre-pregnancy and I cannot drop a lb now!

Advice? Well, I think i need some of my own, but my plan is to begin tracking calories on www.myfreecaloriecounter.com and my fill doc. suggested to stay under 1400 calories and begin walking once it is nice outside (I am in Chicago) bc I don't have money to join a gym.

I hope that helps--I know just support helps too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
