Are you cutting your foods into really small peices? Are you chewing at least 25-30 times before swallowing? And are you eating very slowly? food can still get stuck even if you are unfilled. The food you are eating might not agree with you. Sometimes it's not moist enough. Does it happen with all of the foods that you eat or is it once and awhile? You may have to examine what you are eating. Keep a food journal and write down your foods so you know what you are eating when this happens. After you have a PB problem do you return to liquids for the rest of the day and then to soft foods the following day?

This happened to me and I would not wait at all. My band had slipped and scar tissue formed another band around my stomach. It could be something as simple as a hernia, but continuing to do this is not healthy for your body. Definitely tell your doctor and have him run some tests. You'll be happy you did, if for just peace of mind.

Thanks for the responses.....Carol, how did they diagnose your slip...was it with a Barium Swallow or CT scan....I just had a CT scan last Monday in our local ER (my lapband surgeon works in another town) because I had a Migraine, only the second one I have ever had and had vomited alot...they said my band was fine...I think I am doing things right as far as small bites and eating slowly....I put myself on Zantac and my medical MD called in med for esophageal spasm that has helped a little but I am currently under alot of stress (my BFF mother is dying) so I am wondering if this is part of the problem along with probable gastritis and esophagitis. I really appreciate all of you helping me out with this :smile2:

We did every test from May to December - barium swallow, upper GI, endoscopy....nothing picked up on it. He couldn't figure out what was wrong. He thought it was a slight hernia so he scheduled a surgery to correct it. He found the slippage when he opened me up and said that he couldn't diagnose it when the band was deflated. Scary. I too was on steroids for esophagitis and reflux medicine, but the pb'ing and throwing up continued. It was the craziest thing. I hope you figure out what is wrong soon and you get back to feeling better!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
